The homeowner can install a commercially available ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant ramp with a Notification. Care must be used to select the appropriate ramp Slope and Cross Slope to match the handicap of the user. The Slope and Cross Slope are significantly different if the disabled individual uses a powered chair, assisted wheelchair, or self-powered wheelchair.
Architecture Review approval is required for an onsite built ramp. The ramp must adhere to ADA Guidelines based on the intended user.
